SECTION 2 - OUR PRODUCTS & FOOD SAFETY

We make every effort to display the specifications, grain sizes, harvesting methods, and descriptions of our artisan culinary sea salts as accurately as possible. However, because our salts are natural, unrefined, solar-evaporated products, minor natural variations in crystal geometry, moisture content, and mineral hue may occur between harvest lots.

All product descriptions and pricing are subject to change at any time without notice at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time or limit sales quantities on a case-by-case basis.

SECTION 3 - ORDERS & TRADE PURCHASES

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the specified goods. South Sea Salt Co. reserves the right to accept or decline your order for any reason, including product availability, dispatch logistics, or errors in pricing.

South Sea Salt Co. supplies both retail consumers and commercial foodservice, hospitality, culinary trade, and manufacturing accounts. By placing an order, you confirm that your purchase is for legitimate culinary use, commercial food preparation, or authorized retail resale.

Orders are subject to cancellation or modification prior to dispatch. If we make a change to or cancel an order, we will notify you using the email address, billing address, or phone number provided at checkout.

SECTION 4 - PRICING, PAYMENTS & TAXES

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD). Prices and shipping rates are subject to change without notice.

  • Taxes & GST: South Sea Salt Co. is not registered for Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST). All prices and shipping charges displayed across the store and checkout are net flat amounts and do not include, nor are they subject to, a GST component. No GST is charged or collected on your purchases, and receipts will not include a GST tax line.

  • Payment Terms: We accept payments via approved checkout gateways, instant PayID, and direct Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT / Bank Deposit). For trade accounts with agreed commercial terms, payment is strictly due within 7 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Remittance & Dispatch: You agree to provide valid, up-to-date payment details. For orders paid via EFT or PayID, goods will be dispatched upon remittance verification or in accordance with agreed commercial credit arrangements.

SECTION 5 - SHIPPING, LOGISTICS & DELIVERY

Delivery charges and transit schedules are calculated based on shipment gross weight and delivery destination in accordance with our Shipping Policy:

  • Local Sydney Metro: Deliveries are handled via scheduled local delivery runs.

  • Interstate & Regional Australia: Orders are dispatched via tracked road freight carriers.

  • Delivery dates and transit times are estimates only. South Sea Salt Co. is not liable for carrier transit delays, regional road freight disruptions, or access delays at the delivery address.

  • Title and risk of loss for physical goods transfer to you upon carrier delivery or handoff at your nominated delivery address.

SECTION 6 - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on this website, including but not limited to brand names, logos, text, imagery, product descriptions, photography, graphics, and layout, is the property of South Sea Salt Co. or its licensors and is protected by Australian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, or exploit any material from this site for unauthorized commercial use without our prior express written permission.

SECTION 7 - OPTIONAL THIRD-PARTY TOOLS

We may provide you with access to third-party tools (such as address autocompletion tools or shipping trackers) over which we have neither control nor input. You acknowledge and agree that we provide access to such tools "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. However, all commercial transactions, sales, and supply agreements are entered into directly between you and South Sea Salt Co. Shopify is not a party to your transactions and bears no liability for product orders, fulfillment, or deliveries.

Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on you by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other applicable law that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited.

If you acquire goods or services from us as a consumer within the meaning of the Australian Consumer Law, our goods come with statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods replaced or repaired if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

  2. South Sea Salt Co., its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of the Services or products.

Where our liability cannot be excluded but may be limited under the Australian Consumer Law for goods or services not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic, or household use, our liability is limited strictly to (at our option): the replacement of the goods, the supply of equivalent goods, or the refund of the price paid for the goods.
